The Film Connection

The way it works is, you can "host an evening of film" by registering the name of your film group with The Film Connection. Then, they'll lend you a film on DVD. They mail it directly to your home, for free. You watch the film with your group and return it to The Film Connection with the envelope they supply. Then, "Learn, discuss and debate."

Some of their featured films which I've seen are Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Grizzly Man, Hotel Rwanda, Super Size Me, and The Corporation. All good talk-provoking films.

"The Film Connection is a national public film library, which offers a diverse and compelling film lending library intended to inform, challenge, entertain, and gather communities together in conversation. Our mission is to promote community, civic engagement, and positive social change through film and an open exchange of ideas, opinions and perspectives."

My friends and I can do this.

Cool! So are they non profit? Who supports them?

Next time you decide to do this let me know.
