Controversy over letting your religion affect your finances

This post about Why Religion is an Important Part of Personal Finance on the Get Rich Slowly blog raised alot of ire from the irreligious folks (see the comments), but the content of the post is absolutely true. The guy who wrote it is a Christian, and he posted quotes from the Bible.
