Mr. Feinberg goes to Jesus Camp

The Passion of the Evangelicals…
By Scott Feinberg,

Just when you thought it was safe to crown Snakes on a Plane as the movie with the best title of 2006, along comes Jesus Camp, a fascinating documentary from A&E Indie Films that also happens to be the best film about religion since The Passion of the Christ and one of the best films of the year.
Co-directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, Jesus Camp provides a provocative look inside America’s increasingly powerful Evangelical community, focusing on the children who are being groomed to carry its message into the 21st century and beyond. The film premiered last week at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival and went on to receive an award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary.
