Bitterness, a new mental illness?

Now psychiatrists want to label bitterness as a mental illness in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). Their description of bitterness and the extensive damage it does is pretty accurate. It took them long enough. They would have come to the same conclusion a long time ago, and saved themselves a lot of time and effort, if they had started with the Bible:

Hebrews 12:15 (New Living Translation)
15 Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

Down's Syndrome might prevent cancer

Evolution, and the survival of the fittest, if true, would have killed off the Down's Syndrome gene long ago. God, in His wisdom, has created us to be compassionate toward those who are weaker than we are. As it happens, folks with Down's are far less likely to have cancer, and the extra chromosome they possess may hold the key to preventing cancer in everyone else.
